Children at BCA are encouraged to take care of our world by recycling. We take time to educate them on everything from the problems that arise from littering to what happens to the items we recycle. They are taken on field trips to a recycling station where they can see first hand what happens after our containers are emptied and how they come back to us in another form.

The PAC is sponsoring "THE GREAT RECYCLING RACE" to see which classroom can collect the most recyclable materials. The winning classroom will get a prize of their choice such as a Pizza Party in June. Click here to see which classroom is winning the race!

Due to space and time restrictions, we are only able to recycle items that can be returned for deposit at this time (pop cans, juice containers etc).

Miss Klar's K/1 class won the 2006/2007 challenge. Great work!

We enjoyed excellent success last year without even breaking a sweat. This year we have turned up the heat and are competing against other schools our size for an additional $1000 prize! The prize is donated by Encorp-the recycling company.

We want to WIN! Ask your friends, relatives and neighbours to help you. There are monthly prizes for the classroom with the most recycling. Any super-duper outstanding individual collections will also be recognized.

Check out our progress on their website.
